My name is Eudoxia I am from Mexico I live in Brooklyn NY since 2001.I have 3 children. In my country I worked in a restaurant named toks for 10 years. I work in cleaning now. I like what I do. I do not consider myself perfect but I do the best I can and with great pride.
Teresa Bruno, a founding member of Si Se Puede, came to the U.S. from Puebla, Mexico, in 1992. In addition to her house cleaning experience, she worked as a seamstress for 13 years. Teresa lives with her two daughters, ages 11 and 15, on Staten Island.
Monica Valerio has worked as a housekeeper and nanny for nine years. She began working to develop Si Se Puede! in 2006, and says that as one of the cooperative's founding members, she has learned valuable new business and communication skills. Monica lives in Brooklyn with her four children and grandchildren.
Gabriela Ortiz, member of We Can Do It, arrived in the United States from Puebla, Mexico in 2000. She has worked in cleaning for all these years before I met the cooperative. Gabriela currently lives with her three children, ages 4, 13 and 15, in Sunset Park Brooklyn.
